A Bit About Me

Greetings Web Traveler with way too much time on your hands.

y name is Janel Gelien and today’s date is 12-12-2011, which means that my age is, for the moment, 55. On a happy note, I have discovered entitles me to the senior discount at many places. This brings up the dilemma of, do I mention it to the cashier and by doing so, actually admit my age or do I let it go to keep up the pretense of being younger? My decision varies day to day. I have been married forever, since 1977, and I have three wonderful grown daughters.
I have two grandpuppies and a grandkitty. Unfortunately the grandbunny passed away last year. I have custody of the grandkitty by mutual consent though he is a constant source of furry stress along the lines of Simon’s Cat. He in fact, may have been the inspiration for that entire series.
We live in a wonderful log home that we built in the hamlet ( yes, I said hamlet) of Beavercreek, Oregon on five acres. Lots of trees, views and wildlife.

I love to share my thoughts on whatever pops into my brain at any given time and I hope you enjoy at least some of my ramblings.
